Muhammad Abdul Basit
DC7 - University of Messina
Muhammad Abdul Basit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad (2019) and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Dalian University of Technology, China (2023), where his research focused on signal processing for voice biometrics integrated with machine learning and deep learning. He has industry experience as an Algorithm Engineer at Zhejiang University, working on image processing, satellite imagery, 3D reconstruction, and depth mapping, and has collaborated with Sichuan Medical University on medical signal processing (EEG, ECG, PPG, MMG). He has authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Currently, he is an MSCA PhD student at the University of Messina, Italy, focussing on:
(i) developing a multiphysics simulation tool for magnetoacoustic devices coupling surface acoustic waves (SAW) with magnetic materials;
(ii) applying machine learning for design optimisation of multiphysics metamaterials (MMs); and
(iii) enhancing magnetoacoustic properties to improve ultrasonic clinical screening..
